The Property

New ConstructioPositioned along Highway Route 440 within the redevelopment area of Jersey City Bayfront, this initiative is set to serve as the central feature of a carefully crafted community. The architectural design envisions a sturdy facade along the highway, symbolizing the structured urban grid found in cities like Jersey City, while presenting a more vibrant and adaptable exterior facing away from the highway. The project thoughtfully integrates key architectural decisions like building setbacks, proportionality, and the approach to street-level interaction to ensure a harmonious fit with the surrounding area.n

The Design

Given the increasing urban population and diminishing land availability, addressing the urban heat island effect is essential. The building's large courtyard, roof deck, and community park not only aim to nurture a sense of community among residents but provide outdoor spaces to reduce the heat island effect. At the core of the structure lies a 4,200 square-foot interior courtyard on the fourth floor, serving as a visual and physical link between the surrounding units and communal areas.
